The Struggle for the Commons, by Jay Walljasperr

1 Hi. I read this article on my flight up north, found it not only fascinating, but the key to the next step for the Occupiers, here, there, everywhere.  I tried out these concepts in Oakland, with family, friends and the Occupiers, and folks found it reasonable, without exception.  It offers common sense in understandable language, and broadens reflections of everybody's personal experience to concrete goals.  I'll keep talking about it, and hope you'll join me.

The Struggle for the Commons

"a basic commons principle—that no one should be denied basic needs like food, housing, healthcare, daycare, education, transportation, job training, paid vacation, a comfortable old age and a measure of dignity in their lives."
