Dear community,
You are receiving this message because you either attended or reserved for
last April's ALOUD program with Javier Sicilia: The Poetics of Protest:
Giving Voice to Mexico's Movement for Peace. I am taking the liberty of
contacting you to share more information about the important work Sicilia's
Movement for Peace is doing here in the United States. Today, the "Caravan
for Peace" arrives in Los Angeles in a few hours. Over the next two days
there are numerous public events in which to participate. Please see the
below schedule and feel free to share it with others.

Before departing Tijuana to cross the border this past weekend, Javier
shared these words about the fight to regenerate democractic life and the
need to place human dignity above every other interest. The L.A. Times'
Steve Lopez also shared the binational nature of the problem in this article
from yesterday's paper.

In peace,
Maureen Moore
