There will be a hearing this Wednesday morning and we need as many of you as possible to fill the chambers so that this issue is put before the millions of Los Angeles area voters this May. Details are below.

We had an incredile 2012 and we're looking forward to a productice 2013. If you missed last week's webinar you can watch it and get the lowdown on the plans for 2013 here:  https://movetoamend.org/toolkit/get-involved-move-amend-2013-jan-2013

In December I had the chance to once again head to Washington, DC for an event at Media Matters where the heads of many other groups working on the issue (People for the American Way, Demos, Public Citizen and Common Cause among many others) of corporate personhood. We can't legally speak about the subject matter of the meeting but we expect a lot of major partners to join our fight in the not so distant future.

Later in December I was in Tampa, Florida for our Move to Amend Executive Retreat and much of what we spoke about and agendized as priorities in 2012 was covered in last week's webinar. So please take a look when you can. Our next Move to Amend Los Angeles will be in February but I hope to see you all this Wednesday morning at City Hall.
